Questions about Northern California service
Which Northern California cities do you cover?
Every city listed above is a daily service area, and the list is not exhaustive. If a pickup or delivery falls outside it, the run still happens and prices as a regional lane rather than a metro run. Dispatch will tell you which one applies before you book.
How fast is a STAT pickup?
Ninety minutes from the call to the delivery inside the metro cores we cover. Outside a core, add the drive time from the nearest available driver. We quote the real number rather than a window we would then have to apologise for.
Do you run overnight and on weekends?
Yes. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and drivers run night and weekend shifts across the region. Off hours work is priced differently and dispatch says so on the call rather than on the invoice.
Can you hold temperature across a long lane?
Yes. We run validated refrigerated units rather than insulated boxes, set to the product, and carry $100,000 refrigeration breakdown coverage on top of $1,000,000 cargo liability. That matters most on Central Valley lanes in summer.
Do you broker your long lanes to other carriers?
No. Bay Area to Sacramento, Sacramento to Fresno and the Southern California lanes run on our own equipment with our own drivers. The handoff risk stays with us.
What insurance do you carry?
$1,000,000 auto liability, $1,000,000 general liability with a $2,000,000 aggregate, $1,000,000 workers compensation, $1,000,000 cargo liability and $100,000 refrigeration breakdown. Certificates go out same day on request.
Are your drivers TSA approved?
Our drivers hold TSA Security Threat Assessment clearance, which is the driver level requirement for handling airline cargo. We are not an Indirect Air Carrier and we do not hold Known Shipper status, so a shipment needing an IAC tender needs an IAC.
Can you set up a recurring route?
Yes, and most of our medical and production volume works that way. Recurring routes price per route rather than per delivery, which is almost always cheaper than booking the same run on demand every day.
