How the Central Valley actually runs
Fresno sits at the middle of the state, which is the whole reason freight moves through it. A load leaving Fresno reaches the Bay Area and Los Angeles in roughly the same drive. That makes it the natural break point for line haul, and it is why our Fresno work is weighted toward regional lanes rather than short metro hops.
The valley does not run on office hours. Packing houses receive and ship when the fruit is ready, which in July and August means loading at four in the morning and again after dark. Carriers that only dispatch between eight and five are useless here for half the year. Our dispatch is staffed around the clock and our Fresno drivers work the shifts the shippers actually keep.
Highway 99 is the artery and it is not a good one. Two lanes each way through long stretches, heavy truck volume, and construction that moves around season to season. When 99 closes there is no equivalent alternative, so we route via Interstate 5 through the west side and accept the extra miles rather than sit in a stopped line. Quoted windows account for that possibility instead of assuming a clean run.
Heat is the other constant. Ambient in a Fresno summer regularly sits above 100F, which turns a temperature excursion from a theoretical risk into a real one on any load that is not actively cooled. Anything pharmaceutical, clinical or perishable moving here in July goes in a reefer, not an insulated box, and we set the unit to the product rather than to a default.

Do you run outside normal business hours in Fresno?

How fast is a STAT pickup in Fresno?

Can you hold temperature through a valley summer?
Yes. We run validated refrigerated units rather than insulated boxes, set to the product rather than to a default, and carry $100,000 in refrigeration breakdown coverage on top of $1,000,000 cargo liability. On a 105F day that difference is the whole load.
How long does Fresno to Los Angeles take?
Overnight as a scheduled line haul, and same-day when the load is ready early enough and the lane is clear. Fresno to the Bay Area runs the same way. Both move on our own equipment rather than being handed to another carrier.
Will you deliver to rural addresses outside the metro?
Yes. A large part of our Fresno work is into towns that metro couriers treat as out of area. It prices as a regional run rather than a metro run, and dispatch will tell you what that is before you book.
What insurance do you carry?
$1,000,000 auto liability, $1,000,000 general liability with a $2,000,000 aggregate, $1,000,000 workers compensation, $1,000,000 cargo liability and $100,000 refrigeration breakdown. Certificates go out same day on request.
Are your drivers TSA approved?
Our drivers hold TSA Security Threat Assessment clearance, which is what airline cargo handling requires of the driver. We are not an Indirect Air Carrier and we do not hold Known Shipper status. If your shipment needs an IAC tender we will say so rather than guess.
Can you take on a recurring route?
Yes. Scheduled routes are priced per route instead of per delivery, which is almost always cheaper than booking the same run on demand every day. Most of our valley lab work runs this way.
