Industries We Move Freight For
Thirteen industries, each with its own handling rules, paperwork and clock. Medical specimens are not the same job as trade show freight, and neither is the same job as a court filing. This is what we carry and how each one is run.
Most couriers sell one service and describe it thirteen ways. The handling is what actually differs. A blood sample has a temperature range and a chain of custody. A prototype has a nondisclosure agreement and no consolidation. A court filing has a counter that closes. A pallet of produce has a harvest window. Getting those right is the job, and getting one of them wrong is expensive in a way the delivery fee never covers.
We run each of these as its own practice, with drivers who know the receiving rules, equipment matched to the load, and dispatch that asks the questions the industry needs asked rather than reading a generic script. Insurance covers all of it at $1,000,000 cargo liability with $100,000 refrigeration breakdown on temperature controlled work.
Healthcare and life sciences
Temperature control, chain of custody and documented handoffs on every leg.
Healthcare and hospitals
Specimen routes, pharmacy transfers and clinical supply for hospitals, health systems and clinics, scheduled to the lab cutoff rather than to a delivery day.
Pharmaceutical and biotech
Cold chain from minus 20F to plus 65F in validated units, with excursion handling and documentation the receiving side will accept.
Agricultural and food
Harvest driven cold chain out of packing houses and processors, run at the hours the line actually finishes.
Technical and high value
Direct routing, no consolidation, and coverage that matches what is in the crate.
Technology and electronics
Prototype hardware, server and network gear and lab instruments into campuses and data centres, delivered to the cage or the bench rather than the lobby.
Aviation and aerospace
AOG parts and time critical components. Drivers hold TSA Security Threat Assessment clearance for airline cargo handling.
Manufacturing and industrial
Components in and finished assemblies out for shops running to a build schedule, where a late pickup stops the next batch.
Auto parts and automotive
Dealer and shop resupply on scheduled routes, plus same-day on the part that is holding up a bay.
Documents, freight and events
Deadlines, docks and move-in windows.
Legal and court filing
Filings, service documents and closing packages moved to the deadline, with proof of delivery on every job.
Mail and messenger
Inter-office and inter-branch mail on recurring routes, priced per route rather than per delivery.
Freight forwarders and 3PL
Drayage support, transloads and short haul for forwarders who need a local carrier that answers at three in the morning.
E-commerce and retail
Store resupply and final mile inside a service window, for operators who cannot take a truck mid shift.
Construction and plumbing
Materials and parts to active sites, where the delivery window is whatever the crew is standing around waiting for.
Trade shows and events
Booth material and demo equipment staged to arrive inside the move-in window rather than three days early.
How the work actually runs
The service lines behind every industry above. Same fleet, same dispatch, different handling.
Questions about industry specific service
Do you charge more for industry specific handling?
Handling that costs us more is priced accordingly, and we say which parts those are before you book. Temperature controlled equipment, two person crews and dedicated non-consolidated routing all cost more than a shared van. Chain of custody documentation and appointment booking do not.
Can you sign a nondisclosure agreement?
Yes. It is routine on prototype and pre-release hardware moves, and we will sign the shipper’s own agreement rather than insisting on ours.
What insurance do you carry?
$1,000,000 auto liability, $1,000,000 general liability with a $2,000,000 aggregate, $1,000,000 workers compensation, $1,000,000 cargo liability and $100,000 refrigeration breakdown. Certificates go out same day on request. Declare high value freight before pickup and we will confirm coverage in writing.
Are your drivers TSA approved?
Our drivers hold TSA Security Threat Assessment clearance, which is the driver level requirement for handling airline cargo. We are not an Indirect Air Carrier and we do not hold Known Shipper status, so a shipment needing an IAC tender needs an IAC. We will tell you that rather than take the job and work it out later.
Do you handle appointment based receiving?
Regularly. Corporate campuses, state agency docks, hospital receiving and retail DCs all work on windows. Give us the appointment or let us book it, and the driver arrives inside the window with the paperwork the dock expects.
Can you cover a recurring route in my industry?
Yes, and for most of these industries it is the cheaper answer. Recurring routes price per route instead of per delivery. Most of our medical, mail and manufacturing volume runs this way.
Tell us what you move
Dispatch will ask what the load is, what it needs and when it has to be there, then give you a real number on the call.
