San Leandro Courier and Freight Service
Same-day courier, cross dock, refrigerated transport and palletized freight across San Leandro and the inner East Bay. Marina Boulevard and Doolittle Drive industrial pickups, food manufacturer runs, Oakland airport and Port connections, dispatched 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
How San Leandro actually runs
San Leandro is a working city, not an office city. The freight here comes out of food production plants, contract manufacturers, metal shops and distribution buildings along Marina Boulevard, Doolittle Drive, Alvarado Street and the Davis Street corridor. That means real docks, real pallets, and shipping managers who care about the pickup window because their line is waiting.
Its advantage is location, and it is a genuine one. Oakland International is roughly ten minutes away. The Port of Oakland is fifteen. Interstate 880 and Interstate 580 both run through the city, and the 238 connects across to the 680. Almost nowhere in the Bay Area is a long run from here, which is why so much cross dock and consolidation work happens in San Leandro rather than in Oakland proper.
The constraint is the same 880 that makes the location work. Southbound in the afternoon and northbound in the morning, the stretch through San Leandro is a queue rather than a road. We run southbound work early and hold northbound freight for the back of the day rather than promising a window we would then have to apologise for.
A lot of the food and beverage work here needs temperature control that the shipper does not always ask for. A load moving two hours in a dry box on a warm day is a load with a problem. We put anything perishable in a validated reefer set to the product, and we carry $100,000 in refrigeration breakdown coverage so a failed unit is our problem rather than yours.
Service lines we run in San Leandro
Our San Leandro work splits into three: palletized freight and cross dock out of the industrial corridors, refrigerated food and beverage moves, and same-day courier work across the inner East Bay.
Where we run from San Leandro
Daily coverage across the inner and southern East Bay. Anything past this footprint still moves as a regional lane.

Frequently asked questions
How fast can you get a truck to a San Leandro dock?
Ninety minutes from the call on STAT work, and often faster because our East Bay drivers are already working this corridor. For scheduled pickups, tell us the window your shipping department keeps and we will work to it rather than to ours.
Do you do cross docking rather than storage?
Yes. Cross dock means the freight is broken down and rebuilt for outbound the same day without entering storage, which is what you want when a full truckload arrives for several consignees. If you do need it held, warehousing is a separate service and priced separately.
Can you handle refrigerated food and beverage loads?
Yes. Validated reefer units from minus 20F to plus 65F, set to the product rather than to a default, with $100,000 refrigeration breakdown coverage on top of $1,000,000 cargo liability. On anything perishable moving more than an hour, take the reefer.
How close are you to Oakland airport and the Port?
Oakland International is about ten minutes from the San Leandro industrial corridors and the Port is about fifteen. That proximity is the reason a lot of airport and Port connection work runs out of here rather than out of Oakland itself.
Do you run nights and weekends?
Yes. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and East Bay drivers run overnight and weekend shifts. Off hours work is priced differently and dispatch says so up front.
What insurance do you carry?
$1,000,000 auto liability, $1,000,000 general liability with a $2,000,000 aggregate, $1,000,000 workers compensation, $1,000,000 cargo liability and $100,000 refrigeration breakdown. Certificates go out same day on request.
Are your drivers TSA approved?
Our drivers hold TSA Security Threat Assessment clearance, which is the driver level requirement for handling airline cargo. We are not an Indirect Air Carrier and we do not hold Known Shipper status, so a shipment needing an IAC tender needs an IAC.
Can you take a recurring pickup at a fixed time each day?
Yes, and it is usually the right answer for a production site. Recurring routes price per route instead of per delivery, which is almost always cheaper than booking the same run on demand every day.
